    I don't see it as necessary. In tennis close calls come up all the time but in football it is scarce.

    True, but usually a goal being disallowed or a non goal being counted as a goal will change the game much more than in tennis, especially in knockout competitions....

    It's long overdue, and only a partial solution to a big referring problem in soccer...

    Yeah that is another problem. Will they just wait for the ball to go out of play or something before it can be called? I can see how it can change the outcome of a game much more than tennis but I just see it as being quite rare. Unless it is not hugely expensive then it could be worthwhile. I guess it would be cheaper than tennis because you only need it around the goal area and not the whole pitch.
