Does anyone know when the next Head Graphene Extreme Pro will be released? Looks like the 2.0 came out in the summer of 2012, the IG in early 2011, and the Youtek in early 2010. So since we skipped a year it's gotta be soon, right?

Also, any word on the specs? I know the Graphene models are usually stiffer, but the Extreme is already pretty high and the 2.0 was actually lower than the previous version.

I'm wondering if they'll keep the rounder shape of the 2.0 as well (I don't remember the previous versions being quite as round but maybe they were).

    thanks!

Not sure if anyone else cares, but to answer my own question here, I asked TW and they said a new Extreme was planned for late 2014. So there we go.

That's the first I've heard of Head planning a new one. How late are we talking here, el natural?

Ewwww, an insanely stiff Extreme Pro? That's called a Pure Drive. No thanks, I'll keep my soft and plush IG Extreme Pro.

Team10 – not sure, TW just said “towards the end of 2014”.

Anubis – isn’t the IG the stiffest of the bunch? I agree though, I’m hoping the Graphene version won’t be stiffer than the current one. Hopefully it could be even a little softer to reduce the power level (Head does a better job than most at making their stiff racquets comfortable IMO).

I’m not gonna lie – half the reason I’m excited for the new one is the hope of a better paint job! Shallow, I know :) But if Gasquet is their main sponsor for this racquet, they gotta make something that looks better with his periwinkle grip. Maybe go back to a regular yellow and less black.

Heck no, its softer and more comfortable than my old Radical MP. It's the most comfortable racquet i've ever used.

I am rooting for all black with leather grip. But it is probably a pipe dream.

Curious the EP 2.0’s went on sale before the Graphene version was released.

Considering the stiffness rating, the 2.0 is extremely comfortable. One of the best and one of my favorites that I have ever tried.

I shiver at the thought of a Graphene update to this racquet…

Just considering how much more stiff, hollow and uncomfortable they made the radicals(!!!), the Graphene Extreme may be capable of causing instant tennis arm by picking up the racquet :?

They should think seriously about its stiffness given the Graphene material.

Wow, this looks like it could be quite a bit different from the 2.0, actually. The throat looks different, more elongated and curved. Not really sure what is going on with the bridge. Also head shape looks more oval, less round. Finally, the new one looks almost like it has a straight beam (that can’t be right, can it?). Hard to tell from the pic. I think it’s always been a 24mm/26mm/23mm.
