After spending some time with a GE, I'm going to need a couple more.

The version I have reads "HEAD" on the throat, but I've seen there's a version that reads "Head".
Were there any changes to the specs between these two versions, or is the difference purely cosmetic?

Not as important, but I also would like to know which version came first, and what the production dates were for both.
Of course, I'm asking under the assumption that there were only two ...

The lower-case version came first (circa 1980-1983). The all uppercase name version, later (circa 1984-1986). The earlier version could be had in various standard weights (light, light-medium, medium); IIRC, the later version only came in light weight. There are differences ebtween the two inasmuch as the pallet and grip collar are concerned, and in 1988, there was a version called the Graphite Edge 2 which featured the less dense drill pattern and bumper guard from the TXE, an anomaly only made in 1988.

There were other versions of the Graphite Edge available in Europe, too.

Really?! Ready for play, mine is 13oz.
So, 13.5 and 14oz versions of the lower case original?

retrowagen, the racquet does not say anything about the weight on it. How do you know which one is which? Or is there any reference weights that set aparts light, light-medium, and medium? Thanks.

I have got two of lower case version. One is 15 grams heavier than other.345grams and 360grams unstrung. I do not know if one is medium and other is light because there is not any sign indicates.
