Hit with my wife's liquidmetal 5 I bought for her for Christmas and found it to be a great hitting racquet, but makes a strange sound when you hit it, and it is not a solid sound. Now, Head puts this dampener on the bottom that covers four strings or so, but does anyone know why they are built into the design and has anyone had a similar feeling when hitting with these racquets. I also hit with a LM-2 and found it also made a strange (not solid) sound when hitting. What gives, anyone from HEAD wanna enlighten me??????

The dampener is there for obvious reason, but I have a friend who has a LM 4 the blue one that also have the dampener. He can't seem to play with it so he took it off and he loves the racquet.

lol, there were a few unstrung lm4's at my local oshmans and i stole one of those weird dampeners off of one. its useless to me because none of the racquets i have have the correct width of mains to use it.
