Will be trying these sticks, what to expect? String suggestions, etc? How's the MicroGEL compared to the more recent Prestiges?

I'm basically a baseliner SW forehand and plays 2HBH. Likes to play with spin.

I play the MGPP. I would suggest using your existing string set up, adjusted tension wise for the softer racquet. I am currently stringing with RPM Blast 18 mains and Pacific Classic gut crosses and its quite nice.

I predict that you will find the MGPP to have better control but less power than your Babolat.

Re the more recent Prestiges, I think that the MG is softer and plusher, less crisp than the YT. The Graphene brings back some plushness but I found it to be less maneuverable and a bit sluggish--is basically more stout and has better plow through in stock form.

IMHO, the MG is the best of the 3, and you can probably vary feel of one to pretty much match the other using string variation, except for the sluggishness of the Graphene. I guess the solution to that problem for me is to get stronger or alter strokes to let the racquet do more of the work.

Re string variations, I did not like straight multi in any of the PPs, but straight syn gut played well, straight poly is quite good, and so far, poly/gut is excellent. Excel/RPM-B in your tension range was quite excellent also but only got 16 hrs, RPM/Excel, not as good but better longevity. No experience with RPM Team.

    Have fun.

Thanks! I think tension maintenance of the Team's better than the Blast. But the Blast's a better string IMO, just dies very quickly.

MG Prestige Pro is very comfortable. It works well with Lux Alu either full-bed or hybrid.
