On the specs sheet, these racquets look quite similar. Comparing side by side, these racquets look similar. However, I have not hit with the Head Liquid Metal Prestige MP and would like to know if they are remotely similar. I don't plan on switching to the LM Prestige, but I'm curious if they're similar. If they are, I'm thinking of just putting CAP grommets on the PT 280 and using that.

So, has anyone tried both and can anyone make a comparison of the two racquets?

    Thanks

I'm curious: why are you going to put the CAP grommets? Just for aesthetics?

I want to put the CAP grommets on the racquet mainly to protect it from getting scratched up. Secondly, it would up the weight. And lastly, ya, for aesthetics. It looks better than the regular grommets/bumper guard.

The 280 has always played pretty similar to the prestige midplus throughout all its individual models. No reason to think it won't with this as well. It will probably be a touch heavier, a touch softer, and have a bit more power. It also has a better paint scheme, of course!

I have both racquets and they do hit very similar. I don't hit with them much anymore, but from what I remember, the LM Prestige felt a little heavier than the PT 280 but they both felt as if they had the same swingweight.

As for the PT 280 w/ CAP grommets, you can take a look at mine. I painted mine matte black.

What are the difference with or with out CAP grommet?
With CAP is should be a lot heavier and this weight in the head...
I ask because i've got a 280 without CAP grommet and i can imagine that is nothing to do with 280 with CAP grommet.
(i have put the CAP gromment on one of my 280 and all the weight are in the head now.... it change a lot the equilibre of the frame)
And the last thing i've got pro tour 280 trysis system , is it an other 280 frame or all the 280 are the same??
If someone can give us the caracteristique of the iprestige 630,
prestige liquid metal 630 to compare beteewn the 280 , thanks

When I hit with the LM Prestige it made me think of the 280. I believe the 280's are all designed the same, but there is now a low-cost version made in China which is supposed to be the same, but is said to be lighter
