Does anyone know how health care reform might *realistically* affect our taxes? I've heard talk over the years about taxing the middle class as high as 50% of our income. I'm not sure how realistic this is, or whether it would be immediate or very gradual. The issue I see is that a huge percentage of middle-class citizens are living above their means, and/or just barely getting by paycheck to paycheck. With this type of tax increase, how does this not ruin millions of families financially who don't have the disposable income to give up to higher taxes?
