I have the light blue one and I can't tell if the stripe down the middle is dark navy blue or black.

I know I am a moron, but could someone who is good with this stuff tell me what color it is?

I hold it up next to black shorts and it looks kind of black, even though my 50 pairs of black shorts are all different shades of black.

Then I hold it up next to navy shorts, and it kind of looks navy.

    Damn fashion emergencies!

    Thanks in advance.

    Jolly,

The University Blue polo has an Obsidian (or Navy Blue) stripe.

I still have that polo, the Obsidian with the University Blue stripe, and the Black with the White stripe. All NWT still.

Ok, thanks, what is the color code for Obsidian?

I just found 3 of them going through my stuff. NWT size XL.

    Amazing.

It's usually in the 450s range. The items I have in Obsidian are 451, 452, and 453.

I know that because the item number AND color codes are on the tag beneath the "wash and care" tag.

Thanks, now to scour my room, and the earth for shorts.

You are the man when it comes to Nike.

    It really does look black.

I looked at it in daylight, and in room in my place with energy saver bulbs, and room with regular bulbs. I still can't tell.

Alright, just took a good look at it, I must be color blind...it looks like black to me....

Then I compared w/the 2009 Classic Open polo (red w/black) from USO, okay, there's a difference there...

If you had never brought it up, I would've just assume it's black for the rest of my life...

Well J011y, if you can't tell under such close scrutiny I suspect nobody will know if you wear black shorts with a black looking Obsidian striped shirt. :D

In my house it looks black, under the lights, but I put it on with some black shorts and went out into daylight this morning, and outside under sunlight, it is very apparent that it is navy.

The only problem is no pair of navy shorts I own is dark enough.
