i love this racket except that i have a string problem. polyester is terrible on this racket. i dont know why but it just does. after using poly on this, i switched to gamma professional 16g strung at 60 pounds and i fell in love with it EXCEPT that i break the strings every 1-2 days. my friend recommended wilson sensation on the k98. anyone else have the same problem and know strings that can match the racket?

dude i dont know how. the gamma just breaks too fast in 2 days, less than 9 hrs of total play for me, and im just a high school tennis player who has played a lot of tournaments. maybe its cause of the high tension? yes i just shortened kblade 98 to k98. haha.

Wilson Sensation is what it comes per-strung with in Aus (new policy here apparently) as no frame of theirs is sold unstrung. It's a good cheap multi and there's plenty information about it here. Reckon you will prolly break the Sensation as quickly.

Did you string the poly low?

Anyway I'd be interested to read what you find out...

i strung the poly at 57 and my friend who is in search of a new racket tried the k blade 98 with hybrid and straight up poly and hes 5.5. he said synthetic/natural would be best for this racket.

IDK, with an 18-20 pattern, I would have to use poly so I could get the spin that I seek (see sig. for the reason why I should know a little about this). Try full poly at 50, and if you don't like that, string poly mains at 52 and syn gut/multi crosses at 56-57. If you don't like that, try out Wilson Sensation or Technifibre X-1 Biphase.
