Ok,here's the deal.I was gyming for 1.5 months then I had my exams so I stopped visiting gym.Recently,a week ago i again joined the gym, initially I did light warm up for 3-4 days then this Monday trainer asked me to do Biceps exercise,he put too much weight on it (5 kg with 3 sets of 15 alternative dumbbell curls, lifting rod 3 sets, pulley curls around 3 sets and 2 more biceps exercise) then on Tuesday I had a chest session,it compounded my problem more, now my my biceps are very stiff and paining immensely..I am unable to straighten my arms properly, although i can straighten with effort but it is getting stuck and i have to put immense effort to move it...What should i do?:(

Nothing, you over worked them. Keep hydrated and eat properly to fuel the muscles so the tears reapair. Might be a couple days though.

Sound lke you went hard at it a little too fast.

Enjoy it! It's a sign you went at it hard.

You'll be fine when your body gets used to it again.

You should contact Tio Toni - he will give you something for recovery haha.

Then you can crack walnuts with your biceps like someone you know ...

That seems pretty irresponsible by your trainer.

Part of me thinks we are simply in the middle of an inside joke. He claims he was gyming, but who the eff actually says gyming?

In every sport, to compete at the pro level, you have to train at the pro level.
Pushing muscles beyond it's current threshold is one training method ALL pros use.
If you don't push, you are slacking.
You'll be fine in 4 days, if you're a kid, and 5 if you're old.
You don't get muscles by sitting around thumbing your Ipod.

Im going through the same thing. Biceps, hamstrings and quads are on fire. Its what happens when you take a break from working out and then start up again.

    Man up.
