I have just been given a Head Genesis ATS 660 to string. The recommended string tension is 63-74 lbs!! I know it sounds a bit silly but i'm not sure whether to do it that high. I will probably use prince synthetic gut. The head size isn't massive so I would just like some opinions on the tension.

    Cheers

My USRSA book says 62-71 lbs. Nothing wrong with higher tension. 20 years ago many of the racquets were strung at 70 to 90 lbs, where 70lb seemed a bit low at the time, compared to today's standard.

I have a HEAD Galaxy 720, tension printed states it can go up to 75lbs. I never had any problem with it...
