    Lookin for some tech assistance:

I have the JVC MX-GT88 Shelf Stereo system, and I'm trying to figure out a way to play my iPod touch over this system..

I know i can buy one of those converter cables that goes from the mini jack (like those used in headphones) to the white/red audio jacks that are on the back of my stereo, but I'm hoping there's some sort of product that I can place my ipod in, such as a portable dock, which can be hooked into those same white/red jacks, so I can avoid draining the battery power and having to turn the ipod up to full blast.

any tips would be welcome, i'd rather not have to sell my old system and buy a new one that's ipod ready..

Sorry bro, you're going to need a converter cable.
