So could someone explain (in detail) how exactly to position my body for optimim power on my serve. I feel like I don't have enough speed or power, and when I try to adjust my positioning I either end up hurting myself, or I have a very hard time keeping the ball in the box.

    Closed stance?

The power comes from the closed stance's ability to turn your entire body to hitting the ball flat, as well as the energy stored in every possible bent part of the body which is insinuated in the trophy pose.
