Okay guys, what is Henin gonna use for her comeback? Her old racquet? A newer racquet? Her old racquet with a PJ? Put it all here! Enlighten us!

Probably a kTour, because she used it when I last saw her.

But since shes coming back in January, isnt there suppose to be a new line of racquets for wilson in 2010? Wouldn't they want the player that everyones talking about most be endorsing the newest product? (most likely with a paint job of course)

5.3 with powerholes. Henin doesn't like changes.

Perhaps she doesn't have a deal with Wilson any longer, although I doubt it.

She probably has a life time contract. Up until a few months ago my coach worked at her academy in belguim and they were under contract with wilson and adidas. So there's some evidence too.

There are only 3 players who have lifetime contracts--Andre Agassi, Roger Federer, and Maria Sharapova.

I doubt that Henin will use new sticks, a new paint job perhaps.
She hasn't even changed her strings for years.
The bottom line - top tennis players don't like changes in equipment.

Well I said probably and based on the fact her academy is wilson and adidas. It was an educated guess.

My understanding is Fed's, although "Lifetime" in all reality is 10 years.

You are so right, the best players I see are still using the same old frames they have been using for years, I mean 5.0 up. Now the 3.5 - 4.5 switch a lot and are often buying into marketing hook line and sinker.
I see a lot of Wilson Ncode tour prostaff 6.0, 6.1, even some 5.0, head pro tour 280, 600 and ti and prince, pog one and 2, volkl c-10, a couple of the older Yonex and a few misc. frames
Someone help me out naming more.

Yonex provides great control + Extra Zip on the serves. and they are very manuverable frames which will improve her net play even more.

Which Yonex frame do you have in mind?
I do not use them but I find they have a good feel.
I can't see her leaving Wilson.

It's unlikely that you will ever see a racquet company signing multiple players to lifetime contracts, especially multiple players of the same gender. BTW, Sampras used Donnay racquets when he first came onto the pro tour.

You're wrong. Search the boards, you'll find pics of Sampras' Donnay.

Sampras was not sponsored by Wilson.
Not in the last years of his carreer at least because he wouldn't endorse the new models and kept playing with the PS85.

I'm sooo glad to here about her come back now I have another reason to watch women's tennis besides reruns of serena's outburst. Does anyone know what string Justine uses? or if she will change? I know someone said she doesn't like changes but these women need to start playing with some luxilon because right now it seems like they are playing with woods compared to the guys

She's listed as using Wilson Natural 16, but many who've reported stringing her frame say she uses the same gut, the one jura listed. They also say this gut is greasy/smelly.

I've read some Belgian reports before she announced her comeback that she ordered 14 new racquets. They give any specifics though.

All the footage of her practising and **** has her with a KTour so I guess she'll stick with the same stick.

The [K] Tour is probably a year away from a new version, so I'd say she's definitely going to keep using the [K] Tour, or whatever she was using before she retired, painted as the [K] tour.

He also said in his book he used something "similar" to his pro staff, i took that to mean the donnay he had before it.

According to the italian Wilson distributor, she'll stick with her usual setup, so (K/n)Tour (Pj?)* and Maillot Savarez HT Tonic First Gold 15L w/tensions between 25 and 27kgs. And yes it is a really uneasy to string with that gut...but so it was with her previous BDE Perf 16...

*Henin racquet never had the white nTrap at hoop guard edge like stock as can be seen from Ericsson's post or THIS ONE

When the new APDC came out his promotional video said 5 years, or 10. I forgot if it was one hand or both hands he was holding up, either 5 fingers or 10

That report mentioned that they were the same spec as those she used when on tour, i.e. Wilson Hammer 5.3 with PowerHoles, strung with Maillot Savirez First Gold.
