Yonex is very generous to Hewitt.
Looks like both side understand each other.
Wondering why he did not make shorts and wristbands ^_^

So his line doesn't make shorts, and he matches Yonex with it?

he was wearing his own shorts (c'mon) during AusOpen13.
He is not under contract with yonex for clothing. Just the stick.

yonex is a good company. they are very nice and reasonable to the players. as long as you dont blatantly switch racquets like some wta player. look at tomic for example, he still clearly uses head, he just has a yonex paintjob. regardless yonex is okay with it.

The ATP website interview earlier this year contained his claim to be motivated to try and make the clothing affordable for young players in Australia. Have they started marketing here yet...our host doesn't carry the line yet???

It's a nice looking shirt and if it's designed for Aussies I'm sure he had it made to handle heat and the brutal sun side effects that are more dangerous to Oz's outdoorspeople. At the right price, I'd wear them!

No they are NOT ok with it. Yonex VERY protective of their products and branding. Tomic doing what he feels he has too to win but YY are constantly trying to work with him and drop the sham.

YY was one of the first to even dictate how the stencil needs to go and every stringer and player is updated on this - and if you went against YY directives you your coach and agents damn well heard anout it. HEWITT is the one player who refuses to follow the "rules" and reverses the stencil due to superstition - he's the only one who gets away with it - YY was never happy about it.

Of course they won't drop Hewitt........he gets some special attention as like I said he is the only player who is allowed to have his YY stencil backwards - THE ONLY ONE.

They just dumped Wozi due to breach of contract due to her using a blacked out Babolat - they tried to work with her over the last few but she just didn't like any of their sticks. The only reason Tomic still on board is he is at least trying and testing.

Wo ever said they aren't a "good" company(whatever that is????" - they have a very aggressive marketing and player development group but if a player doesn't follow what YY wants per his/her contract they get dumped or sued. Every major firm would do no different.

    Haha...nice observation.

But I wonder if he really plays with Yonex Vcore 95D.

Yonex promotes both Hewitt and Wawrinka, playing with Yonex Vcore 97D, but both use the 95D with a paintjob of 97D.

The question is: they really use a Yonex Vcore 95D, ore a paintjob of a paintjob?
