Hewitt went out early AGAIN, this time to Pavel. I was definitely thinking Hewitt was just in a slump last year, but I'm really starting to think he'll never be a Top 5 staple again.

Anyone here seen his matches and willing to comment on his form lately? Has he just lost it?

His best asset as a player is his ultra competetiveness. I saw his last match at Indian Wells. No passion, no fight. I am convinced that he tanked in both matches perhaps to spend more time with injured Kim?

Don't worry, he will be back.

I think he style has changed. He seems to be hitting the ball flatter, and going for his shots more. This style gives his power-hungry opponents more to work with. The old loopy counter-punching style gave them nothing and each shot placed them on neutral ground in the rallies.
