Yup, which is probably why he had trouble generating power at times. Surprising that his favorite surfaces were low bouncing though..
Yeah, I find it interesting as well. I think Hewiit hits the ball really clean and times it so well, and thought he would use some less extreme grip than that.

Hewitt is about 20 pounds heavier now than his prime years. The movement and mobility was one of his top weapons. He's still a great player though.
Looking forward to that new book "Facing Hewitt" next year...
hev will retire on his own terms when he is good and ready. like my first post said the hewitt book has not been finished yet
