?

How far can Hewitt go...

  1. Gonzales will overpower him in rd 1

    37.8%
  2. He will get past Gonzo before falling to Gasquet (3rd rd)

    13.3%
  3. Last 16..However it stops there (potential oppn Nadal)

    20.0%
  4. Shock run to the quarters and maybe further

    28.9%

The former world no 1 looked sharp in Sydney, narrowing losing in 2 sets to Nalbandian despite holding a set point. In his first match at the Aus Open, he faces a formiddable opponent in Gonzales, arguably the pick of the 1st rd matches.

Who believes a reinvigorated Hewitt can outhussle the big hitting Chilean and progress to setup a potentially blockbuster 4th rd against Rafael Nadal.

Hewitt has a fine 5 set record, and has a habit of outgrinding opponents with his superior fitness...The firey Aussie will look to gain inspiration from his monumental run to the final in 05.

I'd like him to go past the quarters and maybe even win it, but I voted 3rd round loss to Gasquet.

He has a good chance against Gonzalez if Gonzo's forehand is not at its best, and Gasquet is not good IMO, he'll be easier for Hewitt. However 4th round Nadal is probably as far as Hewitt gets...

If I was Gonzo I would be asking the tennis Gods why in the world they had done this to me. I'm taking Hewitt in a grueling 4 or 5 setter. Man I hope I get to watch this.

He loses first round to Gonzalez. If by some miracle he made the 4th round Nadal would slaughter him.

hewitt still has the capacity to play great tennis. it took fernando to play near his peak to beat hewitt 2007 at the ao.

if hewitt is anywhere near 100% form and doesn't get phased by the pressure of home crowd, he should win.
