I think I remember you giving someone advice on what to do if their fixed clamps kept becoming loose after 2 jobs or so and they need to be retightened each time... I can't find the thread. I believe you mentioned something about buying a new kind of nut or something. Any way you could elaborate? Thanks,

It will depend on the clamp. I used to have a Prince machine where there was a nut on one side and a handle on the other. Here is a picture of the clamps although they are not mine.

The nut needs to be a lock nut. That is there is a piece of nylon on one side in the thread. When tightened it will not loosen from use until the nylon wear out. When it does wear out get some more. Here is a picture of the lock nut.

    Good luck.

They are called Ny-lock nuts.... you can find them at Home Depot, Lowe's, Ace Hardware, etc.
