Alright! I knew she was too good to be overpowered by Sharapova.

mopping the court with the long-legged Shara
(too tall for her own good now at 6'2")
    63 31 for Hingis

you must both move well and hit hard to beat this Hingis incarnation

Taking a look at the stats so far, at 6-3, 4-1, Sharapova's had no break points and is trailing Hingis 2-1 in aces. Zoinks!!

If Hingis holds on to win, especially in two sets, I'm thinking this'll sting Sharapova quite a bit more than the double bagel Davenport served her at Indian Wells last year.

Now, how about aces: 2 for H, 1 for S!
    2nd serve: 73% H, 38%!!
    No breakpoints for S, 3/8 for H
and so on, total domination by now.

Come on, Yuri, your brain isn't good enough any more to guide your daughter!

I know!! I'm so excited for Martina. This will be a huge win for her! It's wierd...supposively Women's tennis became more powerful over the years, now finesse and consistancy of Martina is taming it!

I love that my favorite female player (after Graf) is not only back, but also doing quite well.

    Rock on, Martina.

Martina has the full package. Her serve is not great but 73% first serves is. She has the best volley in the game, the best court sense, great movement, one of the best return games. The full package is very rare in women's tennis and it's why Hingis will rise to the top. Look for a deep run at the French.

I'm very happy for Hingis. I expect this to be tough for her.
Sharapova underated Hingis's serve. She should learn how to play smart tennis I guess.

Hahaha, apparently she didn't attack Martina's serve like she said she would. And even if she did she wouldn't go to the net to put away a volley anyways. I stand by my post in the other forum, I can volley better than Sharapova. If she wants to win another major, she had damn well better learn how to volley!

Dr. Hingis gave the Russian Scream Teen a tennis lesson. Just like she use to do Serena and Venus.
Now she is in the final. It's her trophy to lose.

Sharapova got crushed, didn't get one single break point against Hingis in the whole match!

Dementieva can cause her probs. I don't think Myskina can.

Dementieva serve is far more fragile than Hingis, Martina's return is right up there with Davenport, it just puts you under so much pressure, both girls move really well and I would expect this to be a dogfight.

Elena won her semis. She's next on the chart for the Dr..
She has a solid forehand and good movement but she plays Dr. Hingis' game.
    Martina should take her.

A bigger serve, and better movement... and she'd be like the Roger Federer of the WTA. Just look at Justine, she can do it, so don't always blame height.
