    S.grosjean 6-4 , 5-6 O. hernandez Latest score

Agassi and Blake up next. Both players taking on players with vast amounts of clay court experience: Calatrava and Depuis. Should be a good test for the americans on the least favoured surface.

Well done N.Lapentti 7-6 first set against Kim. Nice to see him going deep in main event again (although a weak field).

I trust someone who was watching it live over a website. She described his interview and everything - he talked about playing Grosjean and how Grosjean beat him when they played on clay.

    Blake should be starting momentarily.

Agassi won 3-6 6-4 7-5 in 2h10 minutes. It was an ugly match, he had 53 winners and 53 errors and Calatrava's numbers were lower, but negative errors/winners. Agassi definitely won and will play Grosjean in the QF tomorrow. Person who saw the match said Andre looked tired in his interview.

Blake and Dupuis are warming up.

Hopefully people on here have their information correct (which I'm sure of) b/c the ATP website as of 1100pm ET, has Agassi losing in 3 sets. Singles - Second Round

    A Calatrava (ESP) d (2)(WC)A Agassi (USA) 63 46 75
(WC)J Blake (USA) vs A Dupuis (FRA)
    (Q)N Lapentti (ECU) d K Kim (USA) 76 62

The ATP site often seems to get its scores from livescore.com - and they make mistakes a LOT. Thank goodness for the tennis channel :p

BLAKE IS IN HOT FORM!! I REALLY HOPE HE GETS TO PLAY AGASSI OR RODDICK. I think he can take either of them out. He already beat Haas on clay last week in an exhibition.

He plays Lapentti next - a very capable clay player who seems to be finding his form all of a sudden... will be a tough match for James, but if he wins that, he would play either Agassi or Grosjean in the SF.

Hopefully this is the start of James on his way back up where he belongs in the top 50. He really deserves it. Mr Nice Guy.

Melzer def Haas: That guy is an unpredictable and dangerous lefty. Roddick will probably get by Horna with his serve, then will have hands full with Jurgen.

I would guess Blake will be playing Agassi in the semi's, that should be entertaining. Then Agassi will take out Roddick and get his first title of the year. French Open will be his next one. HAHAHAHA! Wishful thinking.

ahh, im about to go to the agassi vs. grojean match. it looks to be a long one, two very patient players with semi-big forehands i guess. and after that i might watch the blake/lapenti(sp?) match.

this is awesome. this is the first pro tennis tournament i've ever been to!

Have fun, finchy! It's a great tourney :)

Looks like Andy had a rather easy time with Horna 6-4 6-1.

    Grosjean d. Agassi 4-6 6-1 6-2

Based on descriptions from someone who was watching on tv, Andre played absolutely horrifically in the last two sets (25% first serves in play in the 2nd set... 46 unforced errors total, which is ridiculously bad from Andre). And Grosjean only had 5 errors in the last 2 sets combined.

Agassi is probably getting more power with hes LM instinct but no control. What an idiot for switching racquets for the clay court swing.

didnt see the match, but grosjean can frustrate the hell out of agassi on clay. he did it before at Roland Garros, he's that good - & no it wasnt clinton's fault

Whoa, I'm in LA. I love the ATP....and I like Blake a lot, he is one of my top faves. and I'm a woman ;) I pretty much only like mens tennis, only follow a couple players on the WTA. I like the power and speed and explosiveness of mens tennis.

    it's 1-1 in the 3rd set.

Comeon James!!. I doubt your friends comments. James is playing really well on clay, he has been playing with alot of confidence and is capable of blowing opponents away for at least a set. He will do better then Andre IMO.

she's not my friend, just someone on another message board. I'm just transposing what she said.

James was down 15-40 serving at 3-2 but pulled it out for 4-2 and Lapentti held easily for 3-4 with James to serve up the break. She says Lapentti is trying to play more aggressively now, James will have to work really hard to pull the last couple holds out it sounds like.

James serving at 4*-3 couldn't pull it out this time, got broken :( 4-4 back on serve
