"customize" means "to modify or build to personal or individual preference or specification." If you do it the way someone else did it, it's not "custom." Experiment a bit and see what you like.

I play at your level with a 400 Tour and another player in our league also switched after trying mine. We both added 6 gms of lead at 3 & 9 and leather grips, which add about 10 gms. I would not play with this racquet stock.

We both win more matches with this racquet. Serves are crazy and it hits a very heavy ball. We are both playing full poly in low 50s (23kg).

    Bonne chance.

Adding lead usually gives more power. Control may be lost just try it and see.

The racquet offers more plow through with the added weight, so yes more power, if you swing at the same speed. You dont have to swing as fast on every ball to get deep penetrating shots. It also makes the 400T more stable. Without the weight, the only way to get the same power is with a faster swing and you will lose some stibility on off center hits.

This is a personal choice though. For my game, I also get more control as I can vary my swing speed more.

I played at IDS yesterday. For a few years, I was a member at IDS and used to play there in the weekly and Sunday singles leagues, but now play almost only in Repentigny.

I had my most winning record with the Dunlop 400T. At 336gm you should enjoy.

Think the frame was real good, maybe I need a bit more lead at 12.

I played with terrible standard strings from Dunlop, afterwards I went to my stringers house and he will string it for our team practice on Tuesday.

Despite the strings the thing that stood out was that what I put in I got out: touch, power, angels all were very predictable. For me that´s all I want from a racket, so I´m satisfied.

On Tuesday I will get a racket with my favourite set up: 19 kg on the mains and 22 on the crosses. Think it will be a joy to play with.

The spin on kick serves was a nice surprise:)

Love the paintjob looks like my bike, don´t you think?
