Ok, I Am Wondering How The Atp Tour Players Ranking Go. Is It That At The Start Of The Year Everyone Is At 0 And Over The Year And Win Tournaments They Get Higher?

    Thanks!

What you were referring to in your original post (everybody starts at 0 at the beginning of the year and builds points up from there) is the ATP race, which no longer exists. This is NOT the rankings.

The rankings are calculated from all the points that a player accumulates over the last 52 weeks (one year). So right now, Federer's points comprise of all the points he collected since October 10th 2008 and next week his points reflect all the points he won since October 17th 2008 and so forth.
