Roger Federer and Andy Murray had run an almost identical 104,000 kilometers or about 64 miles during their matches for 2012

104,000 kilometers is more than twice the circumference of the Earth. He meant 104 km.... or 104,000 meters, which is a tad more than 110,000 yards.

Murray runs on average 20 % more in a match than Federer, though, as Federer has played 69 matches so far this year compared to 58 for Murray.

I'd be interested in seeing the stats for Nadal.

That doesn't matter, should still be able to see the amount he's run in total, if they could get that data for Murray/Federer.

    me, too

Agreed. I was disappointed that they didn't provide that.

It's curious the way the enormous Hawk-Eye database is being dribbled out in random bytes, but apparently can't be accessed. At least, I can't find out how.

Agreed, it's difficult to find stats like this. Plus I'd be interested in seeing how Nadal's RPM has varied from 2005-2012.

I think we're just talking about tennis players on the tennis court here, so they're probably running all over the tennis court.

I was watching a match recently, and they claimed that both players had run about 4 miles that day. I don't remember which match it was but I'm pretty sure it was Djokovic-Ferrer

    I think it was Tipsy-Ferrer.

Nope, just your ordinary tennis fan. (Except I know I'm not ordinary, I'm much better than ordinary.)
