That racket is not really spin friendly and kinda on the heavy/sluggish side. If you want more speed and spin, use something in 11 oz range and 100sq. in.

Of course, the answer is to swing faster. But try to use more than just armspeed, as the legs shoulders, and torso can add a bit with less wear and tear, and inconsistency.

I'm not buying new rackets unless I play college tennis, so I'm stuck with hat I got.

Fed and Nadal are known to sometimes use heavy rackets. Most opposition say they hit with a fair amount of topspin.

Drop the string tension about 10 lbs. You'll get more spin.

You have to get the racquet to whip through the air.

Hold the racquet looser, lower on the handle, maybe drop your little finger off the handle even.

Yeah thats what I do. Its like use the weight of the racquet to swing through and hit the ball. Not your arm. Hard to explain. Is it racquet or racket, I dont know the difference.

Racquet head speed comes from proper mechanics. Well, no one said life was easy.

If I had to throw a real tip out there, learn to use your legs and core to drive the forehand. These muscles are stronger than your arm muscles.

But small grip expousers say the wrist drives the most speed, and smaller grips allow more wrist, which I do believe.
But maybe my skinny forearms don't have the required muscles to drive the smaller grips faster, so I can't get the racket speed necessary to play in the better levels.
Or maybe it's my game that's holding me back, not any one thing like...racket head speed.

It’s racquets definitely, because rackets just don’t offer the same optimal combination of power, spin, and control.

I think the PSLtd is one of the most spin friendly, maneuverable rackets I have ever played with.
Even with lead tape, I think my PSLtd swings faster than my stock K-Blade 98's.

Same question just came up recently, but it was more in the form of, "How do I generate more power?"

Same answer: move more efficiently with no delay so that you can get your swing started sooner. The earlier you start your swing, the better job you can do with making a full, smooth, fast stroke through (or across) the ball while staying in better balance.
