I try babolat vs touch natural gut last week and i felt it very comfortable but the price of these type of strings is very high and i'm going to find a veryu similar string among the multifilaments...what do you think about babolat xcel?other reccomendations are welcome..

Babolat's Xcel Power and Xcel are both excellent strings; after gut I'd think you'd prefer Xcel Power, though.

If the cost of Xcel is an issue, then a hybrid of Alu is going to be even more expensive given that Alu lasts a matter of hours. Don't see how that compares to gut either.

If you want a decent multi at a low cost, try and track down some Maxim Touch Classic 1.25.

For pure performance per buck value, I don't think you can beat Gosen OG 1.22 at $35 or so for a reel.

If you can't afford natty gut, then try:

    X-one 17
    NRG 2 17
    Xcel Power 17
    [K] Gut 17

They won't play like gut, but they are the next best thing if you look for gut like performance and find gut too pricey.

^^^ X1 is incredibly overpriced and loses tension quickly.

K-Gut is again overpriced and awful to boot.

    Xcel Power - why????
