WTF does that have to do with anything? And if it is remotely relevant, man wasn't intended to whack a fuzzy yellow ball around for a couple hours either and you're posting on a tennis board.

    You trust bad info IMO.

    Ancient order of attack....
The lead point, spears, not to be thrown, but thrust.
    Second group, swords.
Third tier, javelin thrower (this before the archer's).
    Before that, rock throwers.

Self stretching is imprecise, inefficent and unreliable way of relieving trigger points aka muscle knots or muscle stiffness.

Here's another bs crap muscle imbalances lead to poor posture to improper movement to injury. Put down your ACE book and stop drinking the kool-aid.
Maybe u should read what I posted. Runners who have tight hams ran more efficient. Go wrestle some more schmoe's then cycle more roids, hgh, test.

    Yes she did.
She walked to the cemetery, climbed over some bushes, put on tons of makeup and mascara, and spent HOURS combing her hair to perfection.

I think warming up like Lee explains above probably explains why she never sustained a vampire slaying injury and was never defeated in her vampire slaying career.

I'll see if I can find an article on the internet that addresses this.

Actually, she was defeated twice that I've seen, but was saved in the last second by intervention from her support team of Zander, Willow, and that librarian.
I think in one episode, she was saved by one of the other vampires, who had a "problem" with the vampire who was winning the fight with Buffy.

Stretching is a myth. Nobody, male or female ever stretches or warms up before and after sex.

    Actually, you're wrong.
Everyone needs certain rituals before getting down to business.
It doesn't start full speed from the beginning.
It MIGHT seem that way to you, but that is a result of not being warmed up.

Sorry Lee you are the 1% while I’m the 99% which means we go from 0 to 60mph in 10 sec then from 60mph to snoring in 15 sec. No stretching required.

While I might agree with you on the times involved, I don't think you'd get repeat partners with your "10" second records.

I always warm up with a few partners before the main show myself.

.....but even with that, I can only manage 8 seconds :(

Didn't say that stretching relieves trigger points. Myofascial release does. I don't do ACE books. And why I know stretching and myofascial release work? Because of all the players whom I worked with and they started to do it, they do pretty well now. And maaaan, Freddy, aren't you an angry one!

I checked out your bio on your pimping my books and crap on your website.Dude really drug free bodybulding please. I worked with trainers over the past 21 years who won "drug free shows all it meant was they took less gear and got off it sooner. So your a Athletic trainer bfd so u know how to tape an ankle. Stick with computer science since u have two masters. What r u using those for TP?

I seen your pic dude stop spray tanning or get out of the sun aka skin cancer. I seen your video on utube very professional fitness trainer wrestling some dude for money same old same old female bodybuilder. Dude myofascial is a waste of time it keeps AT and PT dudes in business just toss out your foam rollers another waste of time. I also love the book on squash like u know anything about squash. I am a A squash player so tell that story to someone who knows poop about squash.

Not sure why you think you know it all about me, but you missed that I have worked with racquetball players for over 5 years, and have played some too. So maybe instead of wasting your time on being bothered about how many master degrees I have (I can do whatever I want with them), think about why you have all your PES and CES while you are completely against everything they teach.

Making an analogy of your fitness trainers and me is like me saying that I have seen many idiots here in Venice Beach, therefore you must be one.

Seriously, what's with all the hostility, dood? Try letting go of the anger -- you'll live longer. Perhaps you'll change your tune on dynamic & other stretching after you've been around a few more years. When I hit my 50s, I found that a simple warmup was no longer adequate. A lot of sports-related injuries in youth come back to haunt you. Now at 60, I find that I need to perform a lot of dynamic stretching as part of my extended warmup in order to function on the court at all.

Yes, when I played football and basketball for my high school, I needed very little warmups and no stretching.
Now, at 63, I need lots of warmup and a little stretching.

    muscle worship lol

I am just so sick of trainers and group instructors who think they are a dietitian or a nutritionist. I had one idiot tell me before a class and a few other people eat for your blood type wtf. I told her too bad their is no science to back up that bs diet. I have 15 certs over 21 years and even gone to cec classes taught by chiropractors and athletic trainers so I know as much as possible.

This way when my clients tells me about some tpye of training I can tell them if it is good or crap and a waste of time and might get hurt too. I will not put something down unless I already checked it out.
I have two spin certs but I don't teach it but I wanted to see what it was all about since I was a real road racer. Most spin teacher don't even ride outside just coverted step class teachers. So are you saying that is not u on utube?

I google your name on utube and that video came up and it looks just like u. I also seen you play tennis please learn to play before teaching others. I guess u don't count natural diuretics like my coworkers who look just like u and win natural bb shows. Really racquetball are the 1980's coming back. That mfriend is a sport for fat dudes. All u need a ia good serve and a killer crack shot. I seen people play that and hold a can of beer. Squash is a real sport their is more running in English squash than clay court tennis. PS: love the video of u picking up a dude then squating with one hand touching his junk another wrestling schome haha.

    stretch

My point was to show with science studies that stretching is not a warmup and does not prevent injuries and reduce doms or increase muscle pefromance. I have not seen or anyone post science that proves me wrong. Hey if u r into the stretching domga go knock yourself out.

I think she's doing the best she can with her obvious limited physical and mental skill sets.

Look Freddy, everything might seem easy to you, but most of us can never even dream of performing at your level.

You've been around these boards since 2008 and have not read my numerous posts on dynamic stretching vs static stretching? I've already made all the points that you have mentioned here (in your paragraph above). I don't believe that there is anyone on these boards that has advocated a dynamic warmup rather than employing static stretches prior to tennis or exercise more than I have.

However, I do see a value in pre-exercise dynamic stretching (as part of a dynamic warmup) and post-exercise static stretching. The latter supposedly has long term effects on flexibility. You appear to be saying that warming up and dynamic stretches are not really all that important. With age, it has become apparent to me that this is not so.

You might be taken more seriously if you improved your communication skills and did not go around attacking others in an effort to prove your superiority.

    training

I believe the USTA trainer's have the players do a dynamic warmup including dynamic stretching then static streching after playing. The studies I posted show that dynamic before or static before does nothing to improve muscle performance, muscle doms and prevent injury. If u r a USTA CAT then u follow their guidelines. If your goal is to increase your flex then do static after playing or training. I did stretching in 1999 and improved from average to above average in the sit and reach test. Guess what it had zero effect on my cycling, tennis, lifting or my myscle doms or prevented any injury. I only attack when I get attack first never started a fight when I played hockey I only finish them. Warmup is all mental so just break a sweat with jumperope before playing and think about your game plan. After the match do a light cooldown 60 percent of your max hr for 15-20 mins to releive muscle stiffness.

    sure

Sorry but since I don't play ball I will pass. How about this one serve with no warmup like me 105 mph out of the gate in a match. No warmup serves in warmups since my cuff has a tear in it. I also ran a 5:20 mile with zero warmup or stretching. I did check my hr with my polar.

    Crying over spilled semen
    Originally published by Psychology Today:October 2, 2002

The finding that women who do not use condoms during sex are less depressed and less likely to attempt suicide than are women who have sex with condoms and women who are not sexually active, leads one researcher to conclude that semen contains powerful-and potentially addictive-mood-altering chemicals.

Study author Gordon G. Gallup, Ph.D., a psychologist at the State University of New York in Albany, also found that women who routinely had intercourse without condoms became increasingly depressed as more time elapsed since their last sexual encounter. There was no such correlation for women whose partners regularly used condoms.

Gallup's survey of 293 college women also found that those who did not use condoms were most likely to initiate sex and to seek out new partners as soon as a relationship ended. "These women are more vulnerable to the rebound effect, which suggests that there is a chemical dependency," says Gallup.

Semen contains hormones including testosterone, estrogen, prolactin, luteinizing hormone and prostaglandins, and some of these are absorbed through the walls of the vagina and are known to elevate mood.

Gallup controlled for variables including method of contraception, frequency of sexual intercourse, as well as the women's perception of their relationship. He concedes that women who regularly have sex without condoms might share personality traits that make them less susceptible to depression. But the behavior most often associated with non-condom users is sexual risk-taking, and studies have found no correlation between high-risk sexual behavior and lower rates of depression.

Gallup's study, which he deems "the first serious attempt to investigate the effect of semen chemistry on women," titillated the public and rankled some academics upon publication in Archives of Sexual Behavior. Gallup says he has since replicated the findings with a sample of 700 women and will examine whether "semen withdrawal" places women at an increased risk for depression when they are premenstrual, menopausal or have just given birth, as many women abstain from sex during these periods.

I got LASIK (laser vision correction) done in 2002. An amazing difference! Can you imagine how great your life would be without your glasses or contact lenses? To wake up in the morning and see the alarm clock or your honey on your side... And imagine your athletic endeavors: no sweat running down your glasses, or dry eyes from the contact lens, or swimming and not seing where... If you've ever been thinking about getting LASIK, try the Lasik Spa...

I liked my new vision so much that I got certified to run three different lasers and then worked part-time in The Lasik Spa. Come for a free consultation. Tell them you are referred by Suzanna and you will get a super treatment and excellent vision. And if you are over 40 years and noticing that it's getting harder and harder to read, you can be helped too. You don't need to have reading glasses!

I don't find that so exciting anymore, so you'd better want me for my tennis fitness training experience or skating services. For me personally, stretching helps a lot. Especially now that I'm 28, I always start better, and my body generally just feels better if I stretch, and warm up properly.

When I was 16 I don't think it really mattered, unless I was playing early in the morning.

Just do what feels best for your body, especially as you get older.

So this is the part of the thread where we post irrelevant personal information that nobody asked for and nobody actually cares about? In that case:

    -I'm wearing black socks.
    -My middle initial is "G".
-My belly button is an "innie."
