I don't plan switching to a 28" frame but this was hanging on the consignment rack at the tennis shop today so i will hit with it tonight. I have serious GE, have never hit with a ProKennex, and i have 3 PK demos coming to me from TW next week (5g, Ki5 and Core1#6). I was wondering if this frame will give me an idea of the PK feel, especially wondering if i'll notice the elbow-friendliness of PK right away with the 28" version.

Well I hit with this frame today and am ecstatic to report i have no pain in my elbow. This was my first time ever hitting with a ProKennex. Maybe PK can keep me in the game without elbow surgery. I have 3 PK demos coming to me next week from TW and look forward to finding the right one.

    28" version of 5g? isn't the 5g 27" in length?

i have not heard or seen it before. I don know that the ki5x or 7g is 27.5"

Can you do an actual measurement and report back?

Kevin, i'm pretty sure this is an old, discontinued frame. As i said i just picked it off the consignment rack at the tennis shop to get a feel for PK as i'd never hit one before. But yes it is definitely 28" and called "5g Pro Series Reach SMI".

That's one old PK frame. Thanks for quick response.

Guess the "REACH" justify for that extra one inch of length.

check the threads with "elbow" in the Health forum, if you haven't already done so.
