I am new to stringing. How many feet of string does it take to string an average tennis racquet. I am going to buy a reel of string (330ft) and I was just wondering how many racquets you can typically string with a reel.

    Thanks :

Since you are a new stringer, it would be safe to use 40 ft/string job. You can safely get 8 string jobs.

Once you get some experience and know exactly how many feet you need for particular rackets, you only use that amount. Might be able to get another set plus. Not so important for Gosen Sheep Micro generic, but it adds up for the more expensive reels (SPPP) at $90.

Just don't end up short or your saving money is quickly wasted.

I like the topic name. It's a twist on "How long is a piece of string?"
