I wonder how many players in the ATP & WTA Top 100 are using mid sized racquets ( EQUAL OR LESS THAN =<=93 SQ")?

I know Federer is using a 90 SQ", Safin used something like 89,5-90 SQ" (but he's retired now) and to be honest I can't think of other players.
I can't even think of one single WTA player, who uses a racquet size less than 95 SQ" - please help me with some names - there surely must be several players, who uses mid size racquets (paintjobs or not)......

I just can't think of any right now......

Thinking of buying 4 Head Youtek Prestige Mid racquets, and had a talk with some of the best players at my club yesterday, and no one uses a size smaller than 95 SQ".

I will buy what ever size I want, but just find it kind of funny in a weird way, that so few of the good players use smaller mid size framed these days

Does Philipp Kohlschreiber use Wilson [K] Blade Tour? I mean REAL one, not pj. Any info? I saw him playing with it.

Kohlschreiber does not really use a KBlade of any kind only a Paint Job. His racquets have PWS at 3 and 9 O'clock. I believe it is really under the paint a Hyper Pro Staff 6.1 95.

Oudin did use the KPro Staff 88 at the 2009 Sony Ericsson. Now she uses the KBlade Tour.

Here is when Oudin was using the KPro Staff 88

To sum it up, in the top 100, i think its Fed, Blake, Rajeev Ram, Hewitt, and Schuettler. If you want to expand the criteria to the top 150, you can add Hrbaty and Josselin Ouanna to the list. I would add that Calleri also plays with a pc600, but he's fallen off the grid over the past year and Acasuso just recently switched to a Youtek Radical so he's out of the picture now.......

    Add Almagro and Berdych

Both have PJs. I saw them practice and play up close at Indian Wells in '08, and neither has changed since. Both use 90s painted to look like other frames-- Almagro like the AG500 and Berdych like the AG200. No way that they're using 100 and 95 sq in heads, respectively.

Where did you get that info?

Did you string their frames or know a stringer or someone from Dunlop? I'm most curious, since I was a few feet from both for a good period of time, watching them hit and I was pretty certain that they were both mids. The racquet heads looked small in both cases-- noticeably smaller than mid plus frames...

Taylor Dent uses a K Blade Tour but with 16 mains instead of 18. I actually got to see it at a challenger last year. There were a couple of players there who were also using Head racquet's pj'ed like microgel radicals but were mids.

Love Almagro's technique. Great groundstrokes. Did we ever reach concensus as to whether he is playing a 100 mid or the 300 under his Tour 500 PJ ?

It is definitely a 16X19 pattern.

I don't care much for it really, it's effective, I'll give him that, it just doesn't look as "technically sound" as some other pros...
