How many HC events will Novak be able to play in?

If you look at the HC events he typically plays in, he won't be able to enter too many of them.

Australian Open - still have vaccine mandates in place and he could be banned from entering the country for at least a couple years since he initially entered illegally which is kind of a big offence in any country especially given the circumstances

United States - still has vaccine mandates on unvaxxed non-US citizens. So US Open, Indian Wells, Miami, and Cincinnati he will not be able to play in for the time being (so his next HC slam participation could be US Open 2023)

Canada - same laws in place so no Rogers Cup for Nole

Japan & China - same laws in place too so no Beijing, Shanghai, or Tokyo for Nole where he's won many times before

The only HC events he'll be able to play at in the near future are Dubai, Bercy, and the ATP Finals. Based on the looks of things, his schedule is probably gonna be Dubai, clay season, Wimbledon, Bercy and ATP Finals until further notice.

Great post!

Shows a roadmap for Djokovic, leading to not many places.

With such a limited possibilities, his ranking is gonna drop like a stone.

I'm sure he'll be playing a ton of ATP 250. He might be able to catch Federer and perhaps Connors by way of ATP 250 wins.

I don't even think there is going to be any tournaments in China at all this year. So its possible there might be some replacement tournaments somewhere but not sure.

Tbh I think tennis events being hosted in both China and Russia are coming to an end for at least the near future. It's a shame because they were excited about opening up to the world in the 90s, but here we are again with both countries wanting their Iron Curtain pasts to return even if there was nothing glamorous about Mao/Soviet times in either nation

I'm sure the US will drop the vaccine before the US swing though. I don't really see the point of it anymore as peoples 3rd shot has worn off by then. China is different though.
Biden (or more accurately the senile old fools handlers) are sociopathic fascist thugs that won't drop the vaccine mandate.
It's political, there is no way they will make themselves look like those scary sensible guys like De Santis...
