I recently strung a full job in a racquet with X-1 17g and it felt pretty lively until yesterday when it started losing it's pop. I've probably put about 8-10 hours on the strings, mostly match play.

I don't have any experience with this string, just wanted to try it out since a lot of people seem to think highly of it.

    Thanks

yeah i used they same setup, x-1 17g at 55lbs tension, and it lasted me 12 hours. not the best durability for a expensive string. i would advise trying it in a hybrid with Alu power or Pro redcode.

My two setups have lasted about 14hrs each. In both cases strangely the crosses went first. Had this only once before. Orig

I was using it in a full setup and it usually broke in 5 hours or so. Not sure when it would have gone dead.

Same here. I had X-1 Biphase Red 17 @ 60# on a Redondo Mid-plus for about 20 hours of play before the crosses started fraying at places where they meet the mains in the sweetspot region.

Changed to X-1 Biphase regular (not red) 16 and there has been no problem with that till now (30 hours of play).
