I finally managed to get my hands on some lead tape and magnet tape. I was wondering how long each piece should be before I stack them up. In one inches? I'm going at the 3 and 9 positions on the racket

For starters, just try 3 inches of 1/2" wide lead tape at the 3 and 9. For years, I had around 5 inches there and finally found out it was alittle too much. Start with 3", and increase about an inch at a time, if needed.

3 inches. Got it. Should i stack the tape if it isn't enough, rather then making it longer?

I'm no expert, but try going to 4 inches first. You shouldn't have to start stacking after that. Sampras did, but we're not Pete.
If your stick still doesn't feel right after 4 inches, then you probably have something that's too lightweight for your swing, and your string tension.
