    25 or so of them I would guess (if you really mean seeing them on the street) - A certainly know what a few more than that look like

    but I did see some people that Ive seen play, but I wouldnt be able to recognize them in person, so I didnt count them

    It depends. If you're actively looking for someone, they are easier to recognize than if you don't know that they're there. Even if I see Federer walking down the street I'd have to take a double or triple take to confirm that I wasn't just imagining it. :)

    I can recognize about 50 odd names in there, but I can confidently say that I would able to recognize the faces of only 15 to 20 in a crowd of people.

    Well said, that was what I was getting at in my post - many of them I would pick out on a tennis court - but whether just seeing someone on the street or in normal daily situations you would recognize them is a different question
