As Bill Hicks would say: "the apocalypse dollar. Huge. Huge in times of recession. Giant market"
The Mayan's world ended about 500 years ago.
If the Mayans were that good at predicting things, they would be ruling the earth.
Mayan Y2K... why did anyone think it was going to be any different? lol
I asked Santa for the world not to end this year. You're welcome.
Aaaaaaactually........ Long before that, there were NO mayans left when the spanish arrived to America.
As a civilization, yes. But I suspect they got incorporated into other tribes. I mean, they were basically the same people. But point well taken.
you are completely wrong, mayans never predicted the end of the world, the media did
All the maya believed was the end of a 5000 years cycle
Errr yea there most certainly was. As both an ethnic group and various Mayan city states, they still were around when the Spanish came around the 1530s. There was just no organized and centralized Maya authority by the time Conquistadores came around
