As the title says....
For me toes are almost touching the end.. (but thats because im size 15 and it's hard to find shoes with room)
i leave some room for width so i usually go the next step up so it leaves me about a thumb
I usually have a thumb's nail width, roughly. For me, length is rarely the issue, but how much the shoe pinches on the sides of my toes and bunions my big toe. I need enough width in the toe box that I'm not constantly in pain.
I work at a tennis store and worked in shoes...A rule of thumb, and pardon the pun, you want atleast a thumbs width between the tip of your toes and the tip of the shoe.
I feel more comfortable the tighter my shoes are, I know its weird but I get them as tight as I can before the pain becomes to much to handle
I prefer that my feet do not move at all inside my shoes. I'm not as extreme as Nadal who wears his tennis shoes considerably smaller than his dress or casual shoes but my shoes are quite snug, so my foot does not move at all inside. As a result I have never missed a day due to a blister.
i leave no space. it feels better
More than a thumb nail here. I have lost the nails on both big toes in the past due to toes running into the end of the shoe. Now I Make sure there is enough room that this does not happen so long as the bottom laces of the shoes are tightened correctly.
More than 1 thumbnail, but less than 2 thumbnails.
