Maybe try the classified section of this forum. You'll have a better idea of what it's worth and how much people are willing to pay.

That is between you and the seller. Listing it on the forum here is a great idea and also Craig's list. You could also list it on the big auction site but then you pay a commission and you may or may not get what you want. When I sold my old P100 Prince I listed it on the bay for 99 cents. It went all the way up to $276.50 plus shipping. Your mileage may vary. There could be a big difference between what someone thinks it may be worth, and what someone is willing to pay.

A new one sells for $649 now with a 5 year warranty. If I could get between 50-67% of the new price I would sell it if I were you. So ask $425 and work from there.

If it's complete, you can usually get 55%-75% of what you paid for it, depending on where you live. Most of the time people willing to buy are looking for the tools that came with it, especially the starting clamp.

I'll keep an eye out on the FS thread should you decide to sell.

I wont pay any more than 50 percent of what it would be if purchased new. So if you can get 50-60 percent of a new item then I would take the offer.

I am constantly amazed by how much resale value stringing machines have. I don't have a problem buying something used, but I couldn't see doing it to save a couple hundred bucks. Obviously, I am in the minority.

I saw a gamma 6004, I believe it was, on CL a few weeks ago that was about $200 below new. It looked great, but the warranty and getting new clamps, etc is worth something.

You are not in the minority. I buy used machines all the time.

$200 for a 6004 is a good deal, even if you had to get new clamps. They usually go for $600-$900 used.

To the OP - I just sold last week a 3 yr old Alpha Revo 4000 table top model

Using the *bay I sold it for $560 plus $80 shipping

I tried the boards here and had a max offer of $425 but when the deal dragged for a week I used * bay and it sold in 3 days.

    Good luck
