i play about 5 times a week and i would consider myself as 3.5 player. I have my racquet strung with babolat pro hurricane 16 and i was wondering how much time would it take to break the string.

Depends where you hit the ball. If you try to go Roddick on a couple of serves, and all of the balls hit the 12 region of strings, they'll break in a matter of minutes.

But if you generally hit the sweetspot, you should be fine for a good while.

My record with Babo PH is a year+ :)

Not to sound cocky, but I generally get good sweetspot hits on my APDC and it's strung with Babo' PH 16 as well.. It looks like it can last for a while longer, and it's been on since October!

The real question is not "How long until they break" but it is "How long until they go dead?" Polys usually go dead before they break. Playing with dead strings is not a pleasant experience...
