Do any of you guys know how to contact any professional tennis player (male or female)? I'm very curious especially on how to contact Maria Sharapova :D . You see, I have this bet with my neighbor that I won't be able to get her over to my house by next August. It seems impossible, but I am close to her age so what the heck, why not try? Do you guys know if she has any match in the DC, MD, VA, PA area any time soon? Thanks so much, I really appreciate it.

Ignore this person. He is not 14 and is most certainly a pediphile moving into stalking territory.

If you're stalking her, why ask US? You should KNOW her tournament schedule. Go back to your sandbox and play, little boy.

Did you laminate your May issue of Tennis Magazine? I'll admit, she looks pretty, but a restraining order really would not be cool.

Given how she shut the elevator door before my friends could get on it in IW, I don't think your chances are looking too good.

But if you want to send her fan mail, you should find out her agent and do it through that channel. Maybe she has an official website that gives a fan mail address. I don't know, but I'm sure some websurfing would reveal that info.

Just send her a letter, and ask. Won't hurt. But I agree with the others -- don't do anything more overt than that. Players are already very wary of fans. They have to be.

And above all, I wouldn't get my hopes up.

    Good luck!

Hey up!!!! it's this kid again.

This time next year he will of moved his love on to Martina Navratilova (or someone else similar).

You can tell it's a kid because I doubt that an adult would be stupid enough to keep posting the same things over and over again.

It also sounds like he can't use the internet properly if he can't search the web for her website.

I find it almost as amusing as me ol' mate Benjamins posts!!!

You seem intent upon shocking people's sensibilities. One more progression in your comments, MaSha, and somebody may inform law enforcement. You probably don't mean it, but, uh, you may get a little "visit" from another type of professional, the law. I hope you appreciate that somebody is telling you that you have come into an area very close to "the line." Please be careful. If you need an outlet, post about how terrible I am and insult me, I have a thick hide. Please, just don't get any creepier with your comments, for your sake. From one Wayne Arthurs fan to another. Take care.

Hey, if this is just a kid, he is probably not trying to be that creepy so give him a break. Hey MaSha, I am 19, I'm not afraid to admit that I think Maria is pretty hot too. I had a joke going with my friends that I would marry her someday and travel the world as her hitting partner, and live off her tourney checks. But I'm now with Susan on this one, I was in IW also and after she got done practicing one day I asked her nicely to take a picture with me. She didn't look at me, and said she had a match to go to and walked away. Her match wasn't for over 2 hours and there wasn't even a line for her autograph. Kind of a crappy thing to do I think. So you might want to go back to Kournikova or something.

Maybe that attitude runs with the Russian women (see Demented-Eva). You should have told her you were NOT KGB!

First of all, it's impossible to play tennis on ice.
I've tried it. The ball doesn't bounce at all - it slips. In this sense, ice is like grass but much faster. And even if there is no ice, the ball still bounces low, because at sub-zero temperatures, the pressure inside the ball decreases significantly and even new ball act like burst ones.

Second, Maria lives in US for about 10 years.

And the last. At least you don't hate her. So, maybe you're a kid but you are still more mature than someone who can not forget 'no' from a girl during five years. So, DON'T see (Demented-Eve).

Maybe, instead of asking nicely something for you, you should have give something for her. ?

Urala, Hewitt's post was just a joke! You must be the only guy on the board that has played on ice.

Like what, what can he possibly do for her except adore her as a fan? What is wrong with asking nicely? If these players didn't have fans and were not popular, they wouldn't get the $$$ endorsement contracts. What goes around comes around for these players. They shouldn't bite the hand that indirectly feeds them, just my $0.02.

"Like what, what can he possibly do for her except adore her as a fan?"

For example, to give her a flower...
And the fan should not adore HER, the fan should adore HER GAME.

"What is wrong with asking nicely?"

Nothing. The wrong thing is to think that she/he MUST give you a picture, an autograph etc.
If you do not think that a player must do this, you will meet his/her negative answer with no hard feelings.

Well, sometime this hand uses the knife... and you never know what bugs are in the head of a stranger who approaches you. Maybe all those girls, especially beautiful ones, they are just scared of male importunity..
