I was wondering where should i add the weights and lead tape in order to make a normal Head LM Radical into a Head LM Radical TOUR

LM Prestige MP CAPS + Leather should do the trick.

Aside from the weight, the string pattern and head size are different on the tour version.

No, that's only for the FLEXPOINT Radical! The LM Radical had the same frame for MP and MP Tour, only weight and balance was different.

If you put 20 gr. into the handle and 10 gr. under the bumper it should have more or less the same specs. But better make a serious job work with a balance board. The specs of the Tour are 325 gr. and 315 mm.

If you take 10 gr. lead tape cut it in two stripes. Take off the bumper, fix the lead at the top (one stripe at every side of the string channel) and re-fix the bumper. If the racket was already strung you might need a new bumper. Or you fix the lead on the frame at the inner side. But clean it very well before this.

Yes. Find the middle of the lead tape stripe and start fixing it at the top of the racket.

Great thread for us Radical users. I too want just a little more ooompphh (swingweight/plow through) and want a little more headlight balance.

Jura suggested adding 30 g of lead, wow that would take it from 318 g (11.2 oz) to 348 g (12.3 oz). But if the spec for the tour is 325 g that would only be 7 more grams instead of 30 grams ?

I'm ready to turn my FXP Rads into FXP Prestiges. Need to add 25 grams (0.88 oz) of lead. But where is the question. Obiously mostly in the handle. But a little at 3 and 9 would be good for stabilty too. Time to experiment.

I don't think you'll be able to accomplish that; the Prestige MP actually has a lower swingweight to begin with, and adding weight anywhere on the Radical (even if it's all in the handle) will make the swingweight even higher. I imagine you'll get a nice result with the Rad - it will probably be a lot more solid and powerful - but it certainly won't feel or swing like the Prestige MP.

Yeah your are correct: FXP Prestige SW = 322, FXP Rad SW = 330. So adding any weight would increase SW = less manueverability (reaction volley, serve return)/racket head speed (spin on serve and groundies). Hmm, still will be interesting to experiment.

What you stated (bold) is not true...jura is right, the LM Rad Tour is 325 g unstrung, and the LM Rad MP is ~ 318 g strung, there's your difference. The LM Rad MP is something like 295 g unstrung => 30 grams difference.

That was only to make a LM Radical Tour from a "normal" LM Radical MP. Please remark: LM, not FXP!!! The Tour versions of these two series are very different!!! Due to Head homepage the LM Radical MP is 295 gr., the Tour 325; balance is 325 mm for MP and 305 for Tour. Weigt difference is 30 gr. If you add 10 gr. at the top you'll increase balance appr. 10mm, putting 20 gr. into the handle it will go down appr. 20 mm. At the end you might receive the same specs as the Tour. But this doesn't mean that the playability is the same. I don't know where and how Head added the weight. Also possible is that they added a graphite layer, but I don't think so.

One way: 31gr. on the lower middle part of the shaft (25 c,. from the butt). Leads to almost identical specs.

Of course, there is always more than one way to skin a cat. I tried a few other combinations but it s hard to get the balance right.
