My wife has a PD standard that seems to have a crack in the throat. She doesn't hit too hard (even if I hit hard at her), and hasn't ever abused the racquet. I guess cracks aren't all that common on PDs, but how do I tell for sure that it isn't just paint?

First of all, did you just have it strung?
or did you notice the racquet had these after it was strung?

take some pictures and post them... the forum could help you diagnose.

does it sound funny when you hit

otherwise bring it to your dealer.
