Ive read of several KPS88 users "shaving/trimming" their bumperguard to drastically reduce swing weight.

I am wondering if someone could describe or use pictures to show what items to use and how to trim the bumperguard.

Those who've trimmed their bumperguard please describe your experience and whether or not you would recommend this. Thanks...

it's pretty easy to do before they've been put on the racket. you can use scissors or a sharp utility knife. i took a pen and drew a line on the grommets then simply cut them with scissors. the utility knife would probably be cleaner, so it depends on how much of a perfectionist you are.

it doesn't seem like much but it will make a noticeable difference in the swing weight and maneuverability of your kps88.

i trimmed the bumpers on my old volkl dnx10 mids to get more swing speed on my serve, and it worked perfectly for me.
