Howard Head

    It occured to me today that one rarely sees mention of this man on these boards, yet he personally was responsible for the existence of both the Head and Prince racquet companies, a Harvard educated aeronautical engineer who never looked at a product without thinking about how it could be made better, a public minded guy who devoted his last years to philanthropy, including a public theatre in Baltimore, where he divided his time with a house there and one in Vail. It's interesting that he and Henri Lacoste shared an interest in the technology of both ball machines and metal/composite tennis racquets. I've just started searching for a biography of him.
