From time to time the question arises, what kind of science is worthwhile listening to?
My impression is that its very much a case of valuebased judgements and inconsistent bordering on flipfloppy in these threads.

Is it worthwhile listening to weatherforecasts for example?

Compared to listening to your rambles, the answer is YES!

If you see me as 'rambler' you may take issue with what you might come across as.
Anyhow , ok, so you have an ear for weatherforecasts.
Given that , what does determine weather in your view?

Hurricanes I've experienced since I was a young lad:

    - Donna
    - Betsy
    - Camille
    - Andrew
    - Katrina
    - Wilma

PS: Isaac wasn't a hurricane when it passed by these parts.
