I'm have teaching her how to play tennis and she has gotten really good at hitting the ball. now her shots are going long and she wants more control. Im looking at SPPP pure for her. So hybrid of full poly and what tension. she has a 03 white.

just saying since to really get the use of poly you need decent racquet head speed. syn just will give her a little more power then poly too.

I am with Odyssey here. If the strings have some age on them, the tension loss may be some of the culprit for the loss of control.

Try a quality synthetic gut at a higher tension. Poly really may not be a good choice for someone who is still working on technique. It can be quite jarring on mishits, even if it is a softer co-poly.

With the synthetic gut string I would also get 17g and string it at mid tension.
