Hi. Would someone be kind enough to enlighten me?

I am planning to have my racquet strung with poly mains and syn gut crosses. If poly mains are strung at 55lbs, and syn gut crosses are strung at (i) 53lbs, (ii) 55lbs and (iii) 57lbs, what would be the difference?

    Thanks.

The poly loses tension quuicker than the nylon. So as the crosses starting tension increase, the string bed will feel firmer.

So does that mean the crosses should be strung much tighter than the poly?
