Well, I just had that exact hybrid strung today but with the cyberflash at 60 and gosen 17 at 65. I'll let you know how it plays tomorrow after my practice.

If you're looking for a multi try Head RIP Control. A great soft synthetic gut is Forten Sweet.

I am playing with CF 17g mains an Gosen 18g. I was playing full CF, but wanted to soften things up a bit. I didn't lose any noticeable spin and it's definitely a nice feel. I'll probably end up with 17L mains, but have tons of 17g to get rid of first.

Thanks for all these replies. I think i am going to end up trying Cyberflash in the mains and Gosen on the crosses.

I'm currently using Big Ace 16/PSGD 16 on the mains and crosses of my racket. Both strings are at 60 pounds.

Depends on what type of feel you like? If you like a softer feel with more pop then Forten Sweet or Pro Supex Titan would be a nice place to start. I like a more crisp less powerful setup so I use PSGD 3lbs higher in the cross to balance out the stringbed. I just tried the new FT Ruff closer in feel to the Sweet and Titan.

I've heard that the Gosen was a stiff string regardless of the gauge.. I'm planning on putting the same hybrid and was wondering if you think that it will soften it up? All I'll have is Gosen.

I'm waiting till MSV Focus Hex goes bad until I put CF 17 with Xcel Power 16 crosses. See sig and that's my tension.

It played really well. Not quite as much spin as blue gear, but my flat serves were killer, and still more than enough spin on the groundstrokes. I was consistently hitting drop shots right where I wanted them.

Only problem I had was hitting slice serves, which was probably due to my technique, but so far this setup is one of my favorites.
