Nope missed the whole weeks tennis, glad i missed it, wont watch the highlights either. lol
Well, I wish I could say it was a genius prediction. But it was a fairly obvious outcome. Jeez, and Gael got bageled in the last set. Oops. Way to go, Gael.
If it was an obvious outcome you should have made some nice money off it. Monfils was favored -200.
Whats up guys.
Only been seeing Monfils results, i see him doing a little damage here and there.
I see hes in the quarters against Hasse.
How has he been playing in these matches? Haven't been able to see him play.
Heard he had a altercation with fognni or something?
Monfils is all flash and no talent. Easily the worst of the "young guns" from last generation.
Djokovic, Berdych, Gasquet, Murray, Nadal, and even Baghdatis >>>>>>>> Monfils in terms of talent.
6% body fat doesn't make you a good tennis player.
Knowledge of tennis talent and skill have you none -Yoda
Running around like an idiot 20 feet behind the baseline and jumping around like you're high on coke after every point is not talent.
Hater you are - Yoda
This thread is basically flawless.
You mean, if you're not in the top 5 of your generation, you're not a good tennis player?
You don't get to #7 in the world like that.
Monfils in the semi's
He plays Andujar next.
Hopefully he can win this title, to get his top 20 confidence back.
BTW, Haters gonna Hate
He's playing fantastic tennis right now. Great to see. Tough match with Andujar tomorrow.
Monfils in Nice Final
Monfils defeats Pablo Andujar 7-5, 6-4 in ATP 250 Open de Nice Côte d'Azur semi-finals for his first final ever since Montpellier last year (roughly 14 months). He won the first set on a service break. Andujar was up a break in the second set, but Monfils sharply rose his level to break back and end the match on a final service break on his second match point. Still, let's note a 52% of first serves in from Monfils for only 2 aces, far from what he had been doing earlier this year on his serve.
Good momentum going into 1st round match with Berdych! That will be fun!
Yes yes YESSSSSS
I saw a part of the match, he was playing pretty good and solid
If monfils gets passed berdych, I see no reason why he cant meet Ferrer in the quarters.
Plus he has a winning record on ferrer
Here's a reason...The Ernests! Aiziet Gulbi!
As much as i like Gulbis, i just cant let that happen.
did he get screwed on rank here, should be better than that
Im not really huge fan but having Monfils in the top 15 made tennis more exciting. Its been said over and over but you just never really knew what he would do.
Gulbis vs Monfils will be a thrilla ! Two of the biggest head cases of our game
Bad start for Monfils against club level player Montanes.
Mugfils drinking Coke in the changeover.
Seriously, why would you support this mug who clearly does not care about his training or nutrition.
Andddd Monfils' run is over. No chance against Berdych after losing to such a bad player in Montanes.
Why would you care?
Why are you watching this match?
That's four times now this club player has beaten superstar Monfils how can this happen with a bagel no less?
That's why Monfils is 109th in the world. Losing to club players like people named Montanes.
Montanes is a very solid CC player, who just won his 6th title, all on clay.
He also has a career record of 212-238. He is similar to Benneteau.
Monfils is 4-14 now in finals, only one player worse on the atp match stats with 3-14.
That's why he's ranked 109. Who is 3-14?
German karl meiler. Reached AO semi in 1972.
No, he is not, because Julien has no titles, while Albert has 6. Albert > Monfils, because he can close better his matches, when opportunity arrives.
Monfils has a split H2H against Davydenko (2-2) and a winning H2H against Nalbandian (3-1).
Strong era. Whew.
Man this is BS, i cant believe he lost... SMH
Still though from what i saw in the Semi's he was playing pretty good
Yeah. I got used to being disappointed by Gael...
Gael never seems to be able to play his best in finals.
Disappointed, but not surprised.
It's all good, he still can beat berdych in my eyes
Hey, Rod, check this vid if you haven't already, funny stuff:
After his year as a junior in 2004, I thought he would be great. But boy was I wrong.
Hes had good moments up and down
I'll check it out 4sure
Edit: Just checked it out, that was pretty cool, anymore vids like that?
I don't know. I stumbled upon it.
Berd flu in Paris???
Gael up a set and a break, but we all know no lead is safe in the hands of The Scary Clown!
Doesn't have a killer instinct, doesn't want to be number 1, plays tennis at a decent level cus he can without working too hard, enjoys the spoils, enjoys his life and that's it. Don't waste your time rooting for this guy. His fans want success and greatness for him more than he wants it for himself. And that is pretty much it. Enjoy the circus, the journey, but don't have expectations!!!
Been on the journey since 2004, won't stop now.
I told you guys Monfils is the best player of all time
Anyone know what he's wearing under the tank top?
La Monf better take out Berdbrain. Can't stand that insufferable clown who's done more bad than good.
He has to
Ok no better time than now for La Monf to strike. Cmon make your move Captain Fantastic!
