Yes, also what a pertinent question. Really very timely, no one has ever made such an observation.

LOL, wow! Stan's mug shot on top of the interview page matches perfectly with the interview.

You know what they say about stupid questions...and that doesn't even make sense. What do they expect him to say? Is that his race, "European"? There are like 50 countries in the continent, each different from the other.

"Why do you think there is such a dominance of humans in the draw?" would be a similar question no?

I was just commenting on the length (or lack thereof) of the interview, but yeah, the question is baffling.

Seriously, as a 25 y/o Swiss dude, what do they expect him to do, break down and discuss the merits of the countless Tennis Federations in the world??

Tsonga's the other day was 3 questions, and all of them were reworded about how its good to win in straight sets after a 5 setter.

Tennis journalism seriously sucks, what idiots must be covering this sport. No insightful questions at all, much rather stir s*** and start fights than actually talk about the matches, it seems.

That's because they know nothing and care nothing about the sport or the players.

Players should really be interviewed by TT members after matches via some live internet feed. Definitely would be much more interesting.

What an incredibly stupid question. But by the same token, he could have probably provided a different answer. Poor effort all around.

(after seeing this Q, entirely possible) conversation between editor and journalist:

J: Hm, where is this player from ?
E: Switzerland, it's written. Where the hell was that? Asia, no?
J: it's in Europe, chief. Just asked mr. Google, hehe!
E: Boah, there are a lot of players from Europe written here actually!
J: Haven't seen the last AO, sir, but I bet there weren't so many players from Europe. LOL. Europe is so small, it seems as big as Australia.
E: You should ask him something about Europe, cause that seems the most interesting thing about this, Wa.. wawrinka?
    J: You got it, chief.

It got probably stuck into his head after watching some interviews. Something about flu and sickness. Doesn't remember the name though.

Just shows how much class some people have. Why bother showing up to the interview if you have nothing to say? What a class act.

Not the epic shortness of the Wawrinka interview but Li Na (or is that Na Li??) had a good answer for one of her questions as well -
