Though you said you were 3.5?

Must have enjoyed some great improvement over the last month or so!
    Congrats!

    No, you couldn't.

I am quite confident that my skills would best your skills in any form of combat or competition in which we would be pitted against one another, mano y mano. In such a scenario you would be not only bested, but destroyed, annihilated, chewed up and shat out like a piece of Christmas cake, and crumpled up then tossed into the corner much like what happens to you in your 2.5 league after the friendly neighbourhood 12 year old girl beats you yet again in front of all of your (former) friends. You would become a shell of the man you are currently if you were to challenge me and this I am 100% certain of. In other words, the bottom of my boot would have an imprint of your arse on it when I was through with you.

I had thought I had seen the depths of his ignorance when I saw his inane topic on how Chris Evert would lose to a 4.5.

The bottom of the barrel just got deeper, it seems.

Thats ok... I was pretty sure there was a few people here that were better than me... and if I look around... I am sure there is someone within a mile of me that could probably beat me too. I am not losing sleep over it.

this response reminds me of a commercial promoting the US Open series where john mcenroe challenged roger federer to a tennis match and federer just wasn't interested :)

because a touring pro has better things to do than to challenge people from talk tennis forum :)

it would be like a 3.5 challenging a beginner. it makes no sense.

    Claudius -

I'll play you after you beat Chris Evert in a real tennis match (not at poker, or something else) ;-)

PS - you'll need to travel to the west coast to play me.

    Good Luck! K_I

    Isn't a 3.5 a beginner though? (Serious question)

    Claudius has major issues though...

    nah, not to me.

to me, 3.5 has all the strokes but the strokes aren't as good as those from a 4.0 and above.

to me a beginner is someone who just picks up a tennis racquet for the first time. it would take that person many years to reach the level of a 3.5 player, unless he's really a quick learner and quite talented .

Pete post here!? Pete, I think you are the greatest of all time! Why did you retire? I have many other questions, like where do you live and can I get your phone number so we can talk when I'm not so busy? I didn't even play back in the day but I would watch everytime you did. Another post say's that you don't post on here but I don't believe it. I can almost promise you will like me once you get to know me. In your world I'm a has been that never was, a 3.5 in a 2.0 body but I need help with my topspin serve. Not sure if the ball should be out in front or above me on the toss. Pete, it's not a man-crush.......but if you call and wife answers just hang up....I will know it's you.
